Miss Olivia was over my house yesterday with the brothers, while Mama was still in the hospital with Little King.
She is into a beauty routine stage. She likes to put on her mama's makeup. Likes to have her nails painted and wear dresses. In other words, she is pure girly girl.
I was never into this until just recently like two years ago.
I have some old makeup and she asks if she can put some on her face. Of course, I tell her yes. I give her eye makeup. Miss Olivia knows how to apply. In fact, I think she can even give me a few tips.
When I hand her the creme blush, she does get carried away. Streaks of pink!! Her favorite color is pink. She tells me this every time I see her.
Miss Olivia asks me, if she can brush my hair. I said "sure you can but be nice and gentle." If I don't tell her, she will rip my hair right off my head.
As she is brushing my hair, she says "nice". It has been a long time since anyone has brushed my hair so gentle. My daughter did it a time but she doesn't do it anymore. I think she is a little busy right now with FOUR kids.
I was laying on the couch with my head against the arms rest . It is the perfect height for Miss Olivia. I layed there for a few minutes but it was the best few minutes of relaxation.
I realized I need a little pampering.
Would anyone call child labor police on me, if I make her brush my hair the enitre time she is with me?
Just asking.

How sweet.
ReplyDeleteI have often thought that if I won the lottery I would pay someone to brush my hair...

What a lovely moment. When my daughter was little she would brush my hair too. Now my granddaughters like to play with my hair. Hugs!
